Came here with the family and what a great time! There's nothing fancy about it but it's perfect for kids and the food is good. They used to only take cash but just recently they updated to taking debit. Love the friendly service and hot food!
I would rate Ammon's a three in comparison to the other great restaurants in Waynesville regarding the food alone. I would rate Ammo 's a five regarding value for the money. The food is definitely good. It's not great, but when you consider a family of four can get a full meal with multiple side dishes for under $40, that's a win these days. The service was fast, and friendly. The restaurant itself is quiet, clean, and comfortable. The place takes cash ONLY, so make sure you have cash in your wallet. They do have an ATM in the restaurant in case you forgot to bring cash.
Wow, what a hidden surprise. This seems to be a local place. The food was great and at reasonable prices. Be aware, they ONLY TAKE CASH. We both had the pot roast which was the special of the day. Wife said the collar greens was the best she had in a long time. The pot roast was great and a nice portion. Cole slaw was good. I also hat a their famous hot dog with chili and raw onions. The hotdog is steamed but it was a skinless type so it was mush( very soft). Should use cased hotdogs. Overall I would recommend
This was a great find. The food was very good. The service was very very good. The place was clean. Prices are excellent. Everyone was very friendly with a pleasant atmosphere. Lots of great food choices. I highly recommend this nice little cafe. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that several of the staff had their noses hanging over their masks. This was corrected with a friendly smile when I asked if my waitress could correct this. Everything else was excellent. Especially my waitress. CS
